Bayer CropScience Turkey is organizing the first round of 2010 Agro Arena events whose purpose is to demonstrate the ways of improving cereal production in terms of quality and yield to the farmers in Konya, Karapinar, opposite of Apak plateau.

Bayer on the uptrend in Turkey despite economic turbulence
The Bayer Group in 2009 once again increased its sales in Turkey compared to the previous year. “We closed 2009 successfully despite the challenging environment and were able to grow our business by 1% adjusted for currency effects to €428.6 million,” Bayer Türk CEO Dr. Sebastian Guth concluded when announcing the 2009 results.

The company will make the medicines available to the Red Cross in the Dominican Republic to enable it to be distributed quickly from there to neighboring country Haiti.

Bayer selected “Young Environmetal Envoys”
Bayer Turk selected the university students that will represent Turkey in Germany within the scope of "Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program". Buğra Tıraş and Alperen Dülge will meet their peers, who are also sensitive about environment and come from all around the world to Germany between 8 - 13 November.

Organizing the first AgroArena of the year for wheat and sugar beet in Aksaray, Bayer Crop Science has chosen cotton this time which is strategic for Turkey.

Bayer honored as world’s best company in climate protection
Bayer has achieved first place in climate protection: The Group has been listed in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index as the world’s top company. This was announced by the investor group of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) on September 21 in New York, United States. Awarded 95 out of a possible 100 points, Bayer is the top enterprise among the 50 of the 500 biggest global stock-market-listed companies to be included in the index.

Bayer CropScience’s “Wheat Clinic”, a unique mobile laboratory equipped with modern analytical apparatuses, started its tour across the Thrace region. The Wheat Clinic, which will visit 2-3 villages per day till the end of the season, was developed by Bayer CropScience to offering farmers the opportunity to have their cereal plants analyzed by qualified experts in their village.
