Bayer Young Environmental Envoy 2009
The project competition “
Let’s reduce our footprints in the nature” which was organized among the
university students for the third time in Turkey with the cooperation of
Bayer Turk and
WWF-Turkey (World Wildlife Fund), was finalized in the frame of
"Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program".
Buğra Tıraş from Boğaziçi University and
Alperen Dülge from Bahçeşehir University were selected as 2009 Bayer Young
Environmental Envoys with their projects “
Are You Aware Of Your Footprint?" and "
Seperating
Black Water and Grey Water”, respectively. Tıraş and Dülge will represent Turkey
in the Young Environmental Envoys meeting, which will be held in Leverkusen, Germany between 8 - 13
November 2009.
About Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program
Approximately 50 Young Environmental Envoys from 18 different countries, which include India,
Brazil, China and Poland, will gather in the Bayer Young Environmental Envoys Meeting that will be
held between 8 - 13 November within the scope of
Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program, which is led by Bayer and UNEP (United
States Environmental Program).
Young Environmental Envoys, who will have the chance of sharing with each other their projects
on the solution of the environmental problems, will also be able to gain first-hand experience on
the principles and practice of modern environmental protection in Germany. The program has a focus
on the interplay of industry, households and governments in the achievement of sustainable
development goals.
